About the Opportunity

A well-established property management organization is seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to support a 69-unit residential community in Los Angeles. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and long-term growth potential.

We are looking for a hands-on maintenance professional who is proactive, dependable, and capable of handling a variety of repair and maintenance tasks while providing excellent service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Complete apartment unit turnovers, including repairs and preparation for new residents
• Perform daily property walks to identify and address maintenance needs
• Evaluate building systems and prioritize maintenance requests based on urgency
• Troubleshoot and repair:
  • Drywall and painting issues
  • Ceiling fans and fixtures
  • Plumbing repairs
  • Electrical outlets and switches
  • Faucets and garbage disposals
  • Microwaves, stoves, dishwashers, and other appliances
  • Air conditioning units
• Respond to routine maintenance requests and assist with emergency repairs as needed
• Work closely with the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently
• Follow through on maintenance requests to ensure resident satisfaction
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-maintained property environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of apartment, property, or residential maintenance experience
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, and painting
• Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and perform repairs independently
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• Valid California Driver's License
• Current vehicle insurance
• Must provide your own basic tools
• Ability to work overtime and respond to emergency calls when required, including occasional evenings or weekends
